Ummbele Management Consultants offers solutions in project management, engineering, asset management, and asset maintenance.
The company is 25% owned by ColVic Petroleum Products (CPP), with the remainder of the company controlled by black investors.
The skills within Ummbele provide ColVic with access to outsourced project management services for fuel site installations, from greenfield project development to the refurbishment of existing sites.
Durban-based Ummbele is staffed by experienced engineers and business managers. The company directors have more than 80 years’ consolidated experience in project, facilities, engineering and financial management services, in addition to maintenance engineering, operations management and sales service. This experience is focused on the petrochemical, water and sewage, railways, energy, civil and construction sectors.
In 2007 Ummbele acquired the business of P&D Installations, a project management company which has served industry for 20 years. This acquisition, which now operates as Ummbele Installations (Pty) Ltd, has enhanced Ummbele’s ability to execute projects and further improve project turnaround times.
Ummbele manages all the Masana Assets – fuel and liquefied petroleum (LPG) – on a three-year contract with an option to renew, has completed project work for BP Drakensberg and BP Lubes, and has upgraded BP convenience stores and forecourts.
